We were also lucky enough to have TWO special guests with us to celebrate Brody's birthday, Grandpa Bisel and Robert. The kids were really excited to have them come up to their house. On Sunday the 21st we decided that it was a perfect day for a fall ride. We met up with Paul's family, Grandpa Bisel, Aunt JoDe and Uncle Bill in Woodland and headed off. We rode over Wolf Creek and went up to Defa's. The leaves looked beautiful and we had a really great ride.

BridgerMom had made some salsa and brought some treats, so we got out and had a little treat. And of course we had to get a group picture.

It was SO pretty. The only thing that could have been better is if my camera battery wouldn't have died. Luckily enough I had my other camera and Mom had her's as well...so not all was lost. We were able to still get some great shots.
My new ride!! I'm still LOVING it!!Saturday the 27th it was time for Utah Football!! Paul and his kids came down to tailgate and go to the game with us.

Dad, Mom and MarkMom and I haven't been able to find much time this summer to go horseback riding. The 28th ended up being a great day to go and do so. We went and got the horses and headed for the hills. We are SO lucky to have such GREAT horses. We had forgot to bring any treats/oats to catch them with, and you would have never known. We hadn't been on them for over a month and they act just like they get rode all the time. The leaves looked really neat. It was interesting how some of them had already lost their leaves and other hadn't even started to change yet.
Could you ask for a better view?
I love the different colors all in one picture. Shadow and me.
Josie and MomDad is ALWAYS so good to come and help. He hasn't riden with us for a while, but he always comes and helps. We wouldn't be able to do it without him! Thanks Dad for all your help!!
In preparation of winter we decided we needed to get the bushes in front of the house trimmed up. We started the project on Tuesday the 30th. Here's the "before" pictures.

As you can see in this picture the bushes had got a little out of control. I'm pretty sure that the front window is behind those bushes...I hope anyway!
We worked on the bushes again on the first, it's not a real quick process. On the 2nd of October we took the night off from trimming bushes and went up to the "U" for the Utah vs. Oregon State game.

JessicaIt was a REALLY good game! It came right down to the last second...but we WON 31-28!!!
Me, Mom and DadIt was back to work on the bushes on Friday. We ended up taking the weekend off from trimming since it was rainning all weekend. We were back at them and finished them up on Monday!!

your yard looks great, that would have taken forever, and bushes grow like weeds...ps who is JOsh???
yeah that it my number one question...Who is this Josh person? Nothing better than fall ride. I take one everyday...right to Kamas and back.
Exactly, who is Josh?
The fall leaves look sooooo gorgeous, I always am jealous and sad after I read your wonderful posts and see pictures that I don't live there! I haven't seen your house in person in so long, the foliage is huge! It does look great trimmed, you did an excellent job! Keep the updates coming, I love seeing all the pictures and hearing about your lives! (And tell us who Josh is!)
Hey I was watching the Utah vs Oregon state game too!! I was cheering for Utah but in Oregon. I might have to stop looking at your blog, it makes me miss home. Everyone says how beautiful Oregon is( and it is) But I miss the Changing colors in Woodland. I will not stop looking at your blog I love to see your pictures and the reminder of home is good!! I thought you were just trying to keep the windows shaded for summer:) It did make a huge difference and it looks great!!
Busy lady! Looks so fun! The house looks very nice. The horse ride looked like fun. It is relaxing and fun to go hop on and ride. I have a partner that loves to go with me now and "steer" so it makes it that much more fun! Go UTES! It must be your cheering that is making them do so well!!
Great update -- I usually know about what you guys are doing, but actually seeing pictures of it is such a better way to share. Yeah, whomever Josh is, he is cute! The work in the yard isi wonderful!
Wow I LOVE all of your pictures! I LOVE the leaves in the one with your horse, shadow. What a BEAUTIFUL picture! And your car... looks like FUN!
